Keynote workshop at the ICF Quebec 2021 Coaches Conference, during which 150 professional coaches worked together to challenge their big assumptions and stimulate the evolution of their profession.
Paradoxes: drivers of individual and collective development
If our profession were a human, where would it be in its development? Behind our paradoxes, are there certainties that limit us collectively? It is the coaches who make the coaching profession. In order for the profession to progress and transform itself, how must we all evolve?
This integrative conferencebuilt on the theme of the Conference to deploy three complementary activities to stimulate the evolution of the coaching profession. First, a short webinair encouraged participants to take a fresh look at the profession and reflect on what makes coaching relevant in a complex environment. Working from an X-ray of the profession conducted in conjunction with the webinar, a keynote workshop launched a collective development experience to be conducted throughout the Conference which was aimed at becoming a better version of ourselves as a coaching community. Finally, participants were invited to reflect on the experiment at the end of the Conference and consider next steps in their development. Everyone left with a tool to further their development and facilitate the transfer to their practice.
